Hallam Land Management Application for up to 200 Houses Rejected

An application from Hallam Land Management to build up to 200 houses on land at Myvot Farm, south of River Luggie has been rejected by North Lanarkshire Council

The Councils reasons for rejecting the  decision include:
"considered to constitute an inappropriate and unjustified development in the Green Belt, which if approved would result in a material change to the character and function of existing Green Belt around the urban boundary of Condorrat."

Halam have three months from the date of the decision (22nd February 2018) to appeal the decision to Scottish Ministers.

A copy of the planning decision is here.

It's expected the odds of success for a second development, from ILI (Dalshannon), proposed on land adjacent to this site will now reduce.
