Main Road Development Amended with Planning Meeting set for April 24

Cumbernauld News is reporting that the proposed "Affordable Homes" development on Condorrat Main Road (opposite the petrol station), has been amended from the original planned 27 homes to 21.

The Proposal from John Russell Partnership, on behalf of Clyde Valley Housing Association and Wilson Developments, is for 2 bedroom Flats and 3 bedroom Terraced houses, with the amendment seeing one block of 6 flats being removed. 

Hallam Land Management Application for up to 200 Houses Rejected

An application from Hallam Land Management to build up to 200 houses on land at Myvot Farm, south of River Luggie has been rejected by North Lanarkshire Council

Hallam Development - SEPA Object to Proposed Development

Correspondence from SEPA dated 20th July 2017 shows that they object to the proposed Hallam Land development "on the grounds that it may place buildings and persons at flood risk contrary to Scottish Planning Policy".

SEPA note that they may remove their objection should some of the Technical points be clarified.

Housing Development - ILI (Dalshannon) Public Meeting - 22 November 2017

Not a great start as the public meeting held at The MacAuley Centre had run out of copies of the consultation information by 3:15pm (having started at 2pm), so here are some photos of each of the posters (first ones not very clear).

Notable points:

• for between 200 & 300 houses
• entrance to the site will be from Airdrie Road, just over the hump back bridge
• don't yet know how they will accomodate traffic at bridge, suggested either widening or traffic lights.
• two SUDS planned for the site
• planning application may be submitted early next year
• seperate plan from the previous consultation (seperate developer), but they may look at opportunities to work together

Housing Development - Land to West of Airdrie Road (South of Luggie Water)

A public consultation on the proposed development for land south of the Luggie Water is being held on Wednesday 22nd November between 2pm & 7pm.

The Meeting is being held at The MacAuley Centre, 14 Rannoch Court, Condorrat, G67 4LS

Cumbernauld News ran a piece about the old school house in Condorrat on 31 August 2017.

Education provision began in Condorrat in the 1830s with a public subscription which raised money to provide housing for a schoolmaster.
